Description
Seshcha is an air base located near Dubrovka, Bryansk Oblast, Russia. It is owned by the Ministry of Defence and operated by the Russian Aerospace Forces, specifically as part of Military Transport Aviation. The air base was placed in operation in 1931 and has been in continuous use since then. As of 2022, the 566th Military Transport Aviation Regiment is stationed at Seshcha, operating Antonov An-124 aircraft as part of the 12th Military Transport Aviation Division. This regiment first arrived at the base in August 1958. The air base was involved in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. It features one concrete runway.
