Description

Tongxian Air Base, also known as Sanjianfang or Zhangjiawan Airport, is an active military installation in China. The facility is operated by the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Army Aviation. Historically, the installation has housed the 4th Helicopter Regiment.

The base currently hosts the 81st Army Aviation Brigade, which falls under the command of the 81st Group Army. The parent 81st Group Army is headquartered in Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, while this aviation brigade is garrisoned at Tongxian. Operational units stationed at the facility are equipped with Z-9 Haitun helicopters.
