Description
The KGGB entered service in 2016. It is a South Korean guided glide bomb system designed for integration with existing unguided munitions.
The weapon consists of a guidance and wing kit attached to the MK-82 bomb. It utilizes GPS/INS guidance and incorporates anti-GPS jamming technology. Flight control is managed through a flaperon wing assembly to enable gliding flight.
The system is compatible with several aircraft platforms, including the F-4, F-5, F-15K, F-16, FA-50, and KF-21. It has been widely produced for domestic use and is operated by South Korea. The system has also been exported to Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
