Four Ukrainian aircraft unintentionally entered Romanian airspace for a few minutes during a Russian attack on northern Ukraine. Romanian radar had detected twelve Ukrainian contacts on the northern border at around 03:00; two Romanian F-16s were scrambled from the 86th Air Base, followed by two Italian Typhoons from the 57th. The Ukrainian aircraft crossed briefly near Sighetu Marmației and Vicovu de Sus and posed no threat.
