Finland's defence forces reported that a Russian aircraft violated Finnish airspace while routing around a thunderstorm off the coast of Porkkala in the Gulf of Finland. The Finnish Air Force launched an operational flight in response. Finland treated the crossing as weather-driven rather than deliberate.
