Description

Bandar Anzali, formerly Bandar-e Pahlavi, is the home of Iran's Caspian Sea flotilla and the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy's northern operational zone. It was historically the navy's main training base, and holds minesweeping and coastal defence capabilities as well as naval training centres. The Israeli Air Force attacked the port on 18 March 2026.
