Description
Withdrawn from active service at Papeete naval base on 24 July 2025 after more than 40 years. Built in 1984 and entering service in 1985, the coastal harbour tug first served the Centre d'expérimentation du Pacifique before transferring to Papeete in 1998, where she supported logistics and towing tasks across the Polynesian archipelagos with a crew of about eight. Her most notable operation was the February 2021 tow of the disabled coaster Saint-Xavier-Maris-Stella IV over nearly 250 nautical miles in more than 60 hours. Sister tug Manini assumes her duties pending new-generation replacements.
