Description
Fincantieri delivered the logistic support ship Atlante (A 5336) to the Italian Navy at its Castellammare di Stabia shipyard on 19 December 2025, the Italian Navy and Fincantieri announced. The second of three Vulcano-class ships, funded under the 2014 naval law and contracted in December 2021, she was launched on 18 May 2024 and began sea trials in March 2025. The 193-metre, 27,000-tonne ship has a flight deck able to take every Italian Navy helicopter type.
