Description
Struck and sunk at Bandar Anzali Naval Base on 19 March 2026 by Israeli Air Force precision munitions as part of Operation Rising Lion's extension to Iran's Caspian Sea Northern Fleet. The IDF released footage the same day showing the vessel ablaze at the pier. Deylaman was the fifth Moudge-class frigate, commissioned on 27 November 2023 at Bandar Anzali as the direct replacement for IRIS Damavand, which had been lost in a storm at the same port in January 2018. Armed with eight Qader/Ghadir anti-ship missiles and Sayyad-3 SAMs, the 1,500-ton vessel represented the Northern Fleet's principal surface combatant.
