Description
Retired from service at Brest on 18 June 2026 after 43 years. Commissioned on 23 October 1982, the aviso was modified in 1993 alongside Commandant Blaison, losing her rocket launchers and gaining a Syracuse II satellite communications terminal. Plans to fit both ships with a helicopter hangar and flight deck were abandoned. Like her sisters she spent her later career as an offshore patrol vessel, chiefly on maritime security and fishery protection duties in the Atlantic and on Corymbe deployments in the Gulf of Guinea. Her withdrawal left Commandant Blaison and Commandant Bouan as the last two A69s in service.
