Russia Navy Vasily Bykov Damaged

Damaged on the night of 12 August 2026 during the Ukrainian strike on the Novorossiysk naval base. The lead ship of Project 22160 was named among the vessels hit both in the Ukrainian General Staff statement and in the independent satellite-imagery analysis published by the Exilenova+ and CyberBoroshno OSINT groups, making it one of the better corroborated targets of the night. The extent of the damage was not established: Ukraine said the assessment was continuing, imagery the following day showed no fire or sinking, and Russia made no comment. A sister ship, Sergey Kotov, was sunk by naval drones in March 2024.
