Description
The Chief of Staff of the French Navy pronounced the admission to active service of the Patrouilleur Outre-mer Jean Tranape (P782) on 14 September 2026, the French Navy announced, two months after her delivery by the DGA at Nouméa on 10 July. A long initial deployment had allowed her crew to complete most of the ship's military acceptance checks before delivery. Jean Tranape is the fourth of the six POMs planned for the French forces in the Indian and Pacific Oceans, and is based in New Caledonia.
