- Army (Ejército del Perú): Conducts land-based operations and territorial defense, with its headquarters located in Lima. It is organized into four military regions, deploying infantry, armored, cavalry, artillery, and special forces units. The branch also conducts counter-insurgency and counter-narcotics operations, primarily in the Valle de los RÃos ApurÃmac, Ene y Mantaro (VRAEM) region.
- Navy (Marina de Guerra del Perú): Conducts maritime, fluvial, and lacustrine defense, operating in the Pacific Ocean, Lake Titicaca, and the Amazon basin. It administers the Naval Infantry Force (InfanterÃa de Marina) for amphibious operations and the General Directorate of Captaincies and Coast Guard (Dirección General de CapitanÃas y Guardacostas) for maritime law enforcement. Fleet assets include submarines, frigates, corvettes, and river gunboats, with the primary naval base located in Callao.
- Air Force (Fuerza Aérea del Perú): Conducts aerial defense and air-to-ground tactical support, with headquarters in Lima. It operates fighter aircraft, transport fleets, and helicopters, organized into operational wings across northern, central, and southern air regions. Responsibilities include tactical airlift, border surveillance, and aerial logistics in support of joint military operations.
