Philippine Air Force SF-260 Damaged

A Philippine Air Force SF-260 trainer crashed at Fernando Air Base in Lipa, Batangas, during a training flight after the crew reported a problem with the aircraft. Both pilots were unhurt, and the air force said the aircraft would be recovered and its damage assessed. Fernando Air Base is the home of Philippine Air Force flying training, and the SF-260 is the type used for screening and basic instruction before students move on to more advanced aircraft. It was the second accident involving the type in three months, after a fatal crash in Bataan in January.
