Royal Saudi Air Force F-15C/S/SA Crash

A Royal Saudi Air Force F-15SA crashed at King Abdulaziz Air Base in Dhahran at about 12:50 during a training mission, killing both crew members aboard. The defence ministry announced the loss and appointed a committee to investigate, without disclosing a cause. The F-15SA is the most advanced Eagle variant delivered to Saudi Arabia, ordered in 2010 and fitted with fly-by-wire flight controls, an active electronically scanned array radar and additional weapons stations. It equips several squadrons of a fighter force that also flies the Eurofighter Typhoon and earlier F-15 models.
