United States Air Force F-15EX Delivered

The first operational F-15EX Eagle II arrived at Portland Air National Guard Base for the Oregon Air National Guard’s 142nd Wing. Tail 008 was the first example of a new weapon system delivered directly to an Air National Guard operational unit. It began the replacement of the wing’s F-15C/D fleet. Six earlier F-15EX aircraft had been delivered to Eglin Air Force Base for test work.
