Mali Air Force Bayraktar Akıncı Delivered

Mali's transitional president presented newly acquired Bayraktar Akıncı heavy combat drones to the Malian Armed Forces at a ceremony in Bamako in late November 2024, according to state television cited by Military Africa. At least two Akıncı-A aircraft were photographed, carrying Roketsan MAM-T munitions and TEBER guidance kits. The delivery made Mali the fourth confirmed Akıncı user in Africa after Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Libya, and supplemented the Bayraktar TB2 fleet Mali has flown since 2023 against jihadist and separatist groups in the north and centre of the country.
