Description

The MAM-T is a GPS/INS and laser-guided bomb developed as part of the Mini Akıllı Mühimmat (MAM) family of smart micro munitions. Developed for low-payload-capacity air platforms, the munition is based on the TRG-230 system.

Designed to engage both stationary and moving targets, the baseline MAM-T utilizes a combination of semi-active laser and GPS/INS guidance. It carries a high-explosive blast fragmentation warhead. Integration platforms include unmanned aerial vehicles, light attack aircraft, and fighter aircraft, specifically the Bayraktar Akıncı, Bayraktar TB2, TAI Aksungur, TAI Anka, TAI Hürkuş, and Vestel Karayel. A variant designated MAM-T IIR features an imaging infrared seeker and an improved mid-body wing kit.

The MAM munition family is widely deployed, with operators including Albania, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Croatia, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Mali, Pakistan, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Turkey, and Ukraine. Munitions within this family have been employed in combat during Operation Euphrates Shield, Operation Olive Branch, Operation Spring Shield, Operation Claw, the 2019 Turkish offensive into north-eastern Syria, the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, the Central Libya offensive, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Tigray War, and the Mali War.
