Royal Australian Air Force MQ-4C Triton Delivered

Australia's second and third MQ-4C Triton arrived at RAAF Base Tindal in the Northern Territory in May 2025, the Department of Defence confirmed. The two aircraft were remotely piloted from Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland on a multi-day, multi-leg flight across the Pacific. The Chief of Air Force called their arrival a significant milestone for the service, which also completed the first test flights of its first Triton under Australian control at the same time. Australia is acquiring four Tritons through a cooperative programme with the US Navy; the fourth is in production for delivery in 2028.
