Description
Four new F-35As for the Royal Danish Air Force landed at Skrydstrup Air Base on 15 May 2025 after a ferry flight from Lockheed Martin's Fort Worth plant via the Azores. The arrival brought the number of F-35s in Denmark to 15, with six more at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona for pilot training and the final six of the 27 ordered due in 2026. Deliveries had been delayed in 2024 by problems with the Technology Refresh 3 upgrade, which led Denmark to bring training aircraft home from Arizona. The service's commander called the delivery another step in building up F-35 combat capability as the F-16 is phased out.
