Description
The Polish Naval Aviation Brigade decommissioned its last Mil Mi-14 amphibious helicopters on 31 August 2025, marked by a farewell ceremony at the 44th Naval Aviation Base in Darłowo in early September. The Mi-14PŁ had been the Polish Navy's primary anti-submarine platform for more than forty years, latterly flown alongside two Mi-14PŁ/R airframes converted for search and rescue in 2010. The type made its last public appearance on 15 August 2025 over the Hel Peninsula during the Armed Forces Day naval parade. Anti-submarine work now falls to the four Leonardo AW101 Mk 614 delivered in 2023, with eight further naval helicopters sought.
