Polish Naval Air Arm SH-2G Retired

The Polish Naval Aviation Brigade retired its four Kaman SH-2G Super Seasprites on 6-7 November 2025 after more than twenty years of service. Acquired in 2003 as US Navy surplus to equip Poland's two Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigates, the helicopters made their last deck landings and a final flight at Gdynia-Babie Doły before being withdrawn. Their departure leaves the Polish Navy without an embarked shipborne helicopter: the four Leonardo AW101 Mk 614 based at Darłowo are shore-based anti-submarine and combat search-and-rescue aircraft. A dedicated replacement is being pursued under the Kondor programme, which remains in negotiation.
