Argentinian Navy AW109 Ordered

The Argentine government signed on 30 December 2025 the financing contract for four Leonardo AW109 light naval helicopters for the Argentine Navy, Pucará Defensa reported, a day after a decree authorised the EUR 71.7 million credit from Crédit Agricole CIB. The helicopters are intended for maritime patrol, surveillance and search and rescue, and can operate from the Navy's ocean patrol ships. The first two were expected in 2026 in a basic configuration for crew training, followed by two fully equipped aircraft.
