Description
A United States Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon (serial 92-3881) assigned to the Thunderbirds air demonstration squadron crashed near Trona, California, on December 3, 2025, during a training flight. The pilot ejected safely and sustained minor injuries. The aircraft was destroyed on impact. The Thunderbirds operate F-16C/D Block 52 aircraft and perform approximately 60 demonstrations per year across the United States. The Air Force Safety Center is investigating the cause of the crash.
