Indonesian Air Force F-15IDN Cancelled

Indonesia's planned purchase of 24 F-15EX fighters, designated F-15IDN, lapsed in February 2026 when Boeing said the country was no longer an active campaign for the aircraft, The Aviationist reported. A memorandum of understanding had been signed in August 2023, following a US approval in 2022 for up to 36 aircraft, but no firm contract followed. Jakarta has since turned to the Leonardo M-346F for its light combat requirement.
