Israel Air and Space Force Heron Shot down

An Israeli IAI Heron was shot down at Andika in Khuzestan province on 6 March 2026. It was one of two Herons lost that day alongside a Hermes 900 and two Eitans, making 6 March the heaviest day of Israeli unmanned attrition in the war. Khuzestan, bordering Iraq and containing much of Iran's oil infrastructure and several air bases struck during the campaign, was covered intensively by Israeli surveillance.
