Israel Air and Space Force Heron Shot down

An Israeli IAI Heron, serial number 285, was shot down over Lorestan province on 6 March 2026, the second Heron lost that day. Lorestan lay on the western corridor used by Israeli aircraft transiting toward central Iran and hosted air-defence units that accounted for repeated Israeli unmanned losses in the first fortnight of the war, including Hermes 900 and Heron airframes downed within days of one another.
