Description

Two U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft collided mid-air during the Gunfighter Skies Air Show at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, on May 17, 2026. Both aircraft were destroyed. Video shared online showed the jets colliding in mid-air before erupting into flames and breaking apart. All four naval aviators β€” two per aircraft β€” ejected safely. Emergency crews responded to the scene. The incident is under investigation by military authorities. The Gunfighter Skies Air Show is a public aviation event hosted at Mountain Home AFB, located south-east of Boise.
