Royal Australian Air Force G550 Delivered

The third MC-55A Peregrine airborne intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and electronic warfare aircraft arrived at RAAF Base Edinburgh in South Australia on 12 June 2026 after a multi-leg delivery flight from the L3Harris facility in Greenville, Texas, Australian Aviation reported. The aircraft, based on the Gulfstream G550 airframe, will be operated by No. 10 Squadron; a Defence spokesperson told Defence Connect that it will now undergo training, test and evaluation before joining the P-8A Poseidon and MQ-4C Triton in the RAAF's surveillance network. It follows the first two aircraft, delivered in January and March 2026. Four MC-55As are on order, with full operational capability expected in 2028.
