Description
An Indian Navy Drishti-10, the locally built version of the Hermes 900 long-endurance drone, crashed near Porbandar in Gujarat on 8 July 2026 during a training sortie from the Porbandar Naval Air Enclave. The aircraft came down in an open field near Dharampur village, about 6 km from the city; the Navy said in a statement that there were no injuries or damage on the ground and that a board of inquiry would establish the cause. It was the second mishap involving a Drishti-10 at Porbandar in about 18 months, after an aircraft still being flown by the manufacturer during pre-acceptance trials was lost in the Arabian Sea in January 2025.
