Description
The fifth of six Embraer A-29 Super Tucano light attack aircraft ordered by Paraguay arrived at the Paraguayan Air Force's I Air Brigade at Luque, near Asunción, on 20 August 2026. The air force commander confirmed the arrival, and the aircraft was formally received at the base the following day. The first four were delivered in June 2025 under a contract for six aircraft worth about 105 million US dollars. The aircraft are intended for air patrol, close air support, training and the interception of illicit flights linked to drug trafficking.
