United States Air Force A-10C Damaged

CBS News reported on 10 September 2026 that an A-10C was struck during the Iranian ballistic-missile barrage fired at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base near Azraq during the night of 8-9 September, leaving the aircraft with a severely damaged wing. Air & Space Forces Magazine, relaying the same report, said no aircraft was reported destroyed. Jordan’s armed forces said 18 of the 20 missiles fired at the base were intercepted and the remaining two fell in unpopulated areas. US Central Command did not respond to requests for comment, and in July had denied that any US aircraft were damaged in Iranian attacks. The barrage followed US strikes that sank five Iranian tankers on 8 September.
