United States Army MQ-1C Gray Eagle Shot down

The IRGC said early on 21 September 2026 that its Aerospace Force had intercepted another US MQ-1 drone over the Strait of Hormuz and released footage it said showed the engagement; defence outlets identified the aircraft in the video as an Army MQ-1C Gray Eagle. It was the fifth MQ-1 Iran claimed that month, and US officials have not confirmed it. The Air Force retired its MQ-1 Predators in 2018, leaving the Gray Eagle as the MQ-1 variant in US service.
