United States Air Force F-15EX Ordered

The US Air Force awarded Boeing a $2.38 billion contract on 29 September 2026 for 22 F-15EX Eagle II fighters under production Lot 7, Air & Space Forces Magazine reported, bringing to 120 the number of F-15EXs under contract. According to the magazine, the award was finalised just before the 30 September fiscal-year deadline for using reconciliation-bill funds. The average price of about $108 million per aircraft excludes the GE Aerospace engines, which the service buys separately. The magazine said the Air Force raised the planned programme from 129 to 269 aircraft in April, while Boeing is still delivering Lot 3 jets and aims to reach a rate of two aircraft per month.
