Description
The first two of the 66 new-build F-16 Block 70 fighters ordered by Taiwan in 2019 landed at Chihhang Air Base in Taitung on 2 October 2026, about a month later than expected, according to Focus Taiwan. Taiwan's defense ministry has attributed the program's delays to the relocation and restart of the production line and to supply-chain disruptions. The aircraft join the Republic of China Air Force's fleet of F-16A/B Block 20s upgraded to the F-16V configuration.
