Description
Two AH-64E Apache attack helicopters remanufactured in the United States arrived at Woensdrecht Air Base on 16 October 2026 aboard a C-17 of a NATO multinational airlift partnership, the Dutch defence ministry said, according to Piloot & Vliegtuig and Militarnyi. They are the 25th and 26th of the 28 AH-64Ds that the Netherlands is having converted to the AH-64E Version 6 standard under a 2019 Foreign Military Sales contract with Boeing. The first converted aircraft returned in 2023. The upgrade adds new radar, sensors, radios and navigation systems, a Link 16 datalink, composite rotor blades and more engine power. The last two helicopters are expected in 2027.
