Description
Kashgar Laining International Airport, formerly known as Kashgar Airport until August 2023, is a dual-use military-civilian airport serving Kashgar (Kashi) in the Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region of the People's Republic of China. The airport commenced operations in October 1953. International flights began in 2006. The airport features one concrete runway, designated 08/26, measuring 3,200 by 41 metres. This runway is capable of accommodating aircraft such as the Boeing 747-400. The terminal building has an area of 23,800 square meters and includes 8 gates.
