Description

Skyros Air Base is a Hellenic Air Force installation at Skyros Island National Airport, on the island of Skyros, Greece. The airfield lies in the Trachi area, 17 km north of the island's main town, also named Skyros. It opened in 1984 and has since operated as a civil airport, handling scheduled and charter flights alongside its military function.

The base hosts the 22nd Guided Missile Squadron, attached to the 350th Guided Missile Wing of the Hellenic Air Force, which operates MIM-104 Patriot PAC-3 surface-to-air missile batteries.
