What Happened

A Russian Antonov An-30 crossed into Swedish airspace south of Blekinge on a Friday evening. The violation lasted less than a minute. The An-30 is an aerial survey and photo-mapping aircraft derived from the An-24 airliner, and although the Open Skies Treaty flights it was built for had long since lapsed for Russia, the type remained in service for reconnaissance work over the Baltic.
