A Russian Geran-2 came down near the village of Tudora in the Ștefan Vodă district, close to the state border, carrying an active explosive charge. Residents alerted the authorities and bomb disposal specialists evacuated the area for a controlled detonation. Moldova summoned the Russian ambassador and delivered a formal protest note.
