A homemade quadcopter carrying 800 grams of explosive was found in a cargo area of Leipzig airport, near a Ukrainian cargo aircraft. Flying very low, it was brought down by an airport bus driver, and a detonator failure prevented the charge from going off. A second object, presumed to be another drone, collided with a DHL freighter 400 metres above the airport as it was landing, forcing the aircraft to abort its approach and divert. American intelligence attributed the incidents to Russia.
