A drone came down in a wooded area near Luncavița, in Tulcea County some five kilometres from the Ukrainian border, on 14 August, the impact followed by an explosion and a fire. The Ministry of National Defence said its radar surveillance systems had not detected the aircraft, which flew at very low altitude, and learned of the crash through an emergency call. A ministry team surveyed the area aboard an IAR-330 SOCAT helicopter while military firefighters and rangers from the Macin Mountains National Park searched for the wreckage. No casualties or material damage were reported, and no authority attributed the aircraft.
