Arctic Warfare AS50

Accuracy International designed the AS50 semi-automatic anti-materiel precision rifle in 2005. The British firearms producer began manufacturing the weapon in 2007, developing the platform for the British Armed Forces and the United States Navy SEALs.

The rifle operates via a gas-operated, direct impingement semi-automatic action. Its construction features a lightweight titanium frame and a two-part machined steel receiver with an integral accessory rail for mounting optics. The design incorporates a free-floating barrel and a muzzle brake to reduce recoil compared to the AW50 bolt-action rifle, facilitating faster target acquisition. Two additional accessory rails are mounted on the sides of the short barrel shroud. For shooting stability, the weapon features an adjustable bipod and a rear support leg that serves as a hand grip. The system is designed for transportability and ergonomics, allowing disassembly and servicing without tools. Feed is supplied via a single-stack, detachable box magazine.

The rifle is employed by the British Armed Forces and the United States Navy SEALs, who utilize the platform because of its high rate of fire.
