Yulin Naval Base (榆林海军基地)

Yulin Naval Base is a People's Liberation Army Navy installation on the coast of Hainan, China, in the eastern suburbs of Sanya adjacent to Yulin Port. It falls under the South Sea Fleet, whose area of responsibility covers the South China Sea.

The base supports a range of smaller surface combatants and auxiliaries, together with a unit of diesel-electric submarines. The Special Operations Brigade of the PLA Navy Marine Corps is garrisoned there. Units homeported at Yulin have contributed to the PLA Navy's escort deployments off Somalia.

Yulin forms part of a wider naval complex around Sanya. Further east, on Yalong Bay, the separate Longpo Naval Base — earlier referred to as "Yulin-East" — handles nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers, leaving the Yulin site proper to conventional submarines and lighter units.
