Italy Navy Emilio Bianchi Delivered

The frigate Emilio Bianchi was delivered to the Italian Navy at Fincantieri's Muggiano shipyard near La Spezia on 31 July 2025, the tenth and final FREMM built under Italy's participation in the multinational programme. Like Spartaco Schergat before her, she was completed in the hybrid general-purpose and anti-submarine 'ASW Enhanced' configuration, replacing a general-purpose unit sold to Egypt. Her delivery closes the FREMM production line for Italy and marks the transition to the follow-on FREMM EVO programme, which reached critical design review in early 2026.
