Royal Thai Navy Fleet Inventory 🇹🇭

The Royal Thai Navy, established in 1906 and modernized by Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartiwongse, is Thailand's naval warfare force. It encompasses the naval fleet, the Royal Thai Marine Corps, and the Air and Coastal Defence Command, with its headquarters located at Sattahip Naval Base.

The Royal Thai Navy operates under three naval area commands: the Northern and Southern Gulf of Thailand, and the Andaman Sea in the Indian Ocean. It also maintains two air wings and a flying unit on its aircraft carrier. The Royal Fleet, part of the navy's combat forces, comprises 130 vessels including frigates with surface-to-air missiles, fast attack craft with surface-to-surface missiles, large coastal patrol craft, coastal minelayers and minesweepers, landing craft, and training ships.

The Royal Thai Navy's mission space spans the rivers, the Gulf of Thailand, and the Indian Ocean, separated by the Kra Isthmus. It is overseen by the country's most senior admiral, based in Bangkok, who is supported by staff groups responsible for logistics, education and training, and various special services, functioning similarly to the staffs in the Royal Thai Army and Air Force command structures. The current Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, as of 2023, is Admiral Adung Phan-iam.
