Description
Azerbaijan's first five JF-17 Block III fighters, four single-seaters and one two-seater, flew over Baku during the Victory Day parade on 8 November 2025, their first public appearance. Army Recognition reported that the aircraft had arrived from Pakistan in October 2025 for joint exercises with the Pakistan Air Force before the parade, and that the presidential office confirmed they had entered active service. Azerbaijan signed a 1.6 billion US dollar agreement with Pakistan on 22 February 2024 and expanded the package in June 2025, making it the largest export customer for the type. The jets were later filmed at Nasosnaya Air Base with a newly formed squadron.
