United States Air Force MQ-9 Reaper Shot down

A USAF MQ-9 Reaper was shot down over Kerman province on 11 March 2026. The loss came as US aircraft struck Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani Airport at Kerman, where CENTCOM footage published the same day showed the destruction of an Iranian C-130 Hercules, a P-3 Orion and an Il-76. Reapers provided the targeting and battle-damage assessment coverage for those strikes, which put them within reach of the air defences protecting the airfield.
