Royal Australian Army AH-64E Delivered

Two further AH-64E Apache attack helicopters, the fifth and sixth for the Australian Army, were flown into RAAF Base Townsville aboard a Royal Australian Air Force C-17A Globemaster, Australian Defence Magazine reported on 18 May 2026. The commander of Army Aviation Command said the arrival marked another milestone for the Army's contribution to the integrated force. Australia is buying 29 AH-64Es through US Foreign Military Sales under Project LAND 4503, with all deliveries expected by 2029. The first pair arrived in late 2025.
