Description
BAF Base Cox's Bazar is a Bangladesh Air Force installation located in Cox's Bazar, Chittagong Division, Bangladesh, situated near Cox's Bazar Airport. Operated by the Bangladesh Air Force, the base was inaugurated on 3 April 2011 by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to protect the country's maritime boundary and military establishments in the area. On 18 December 2019, the facility was renamed BAF Base Sheikh Hasina, before officially reverting to the name BAF Base Cox's Bazar on 2 December 2021. The base infrastructure includes a radar section, which was equipped with a YLC-6 Radar on 11 November 2015.
